1.1 Speedrun Update
IMPORTANT: This game is meant first and foremost as a small funny experience to play once. I don't intend players to try to speedrun it until first completing it on their own time and only if they want to play it again and understand the systems in more depth. The game will last 5-15 minutes for a normal player, and when speedrunning this version I've gotten it down to 1:31. I think both set and rng speedrun modes are fun and have a lot of potential but I would advise against playing with them on on the first time you boot it up.
Small guide on speedrunning Firewall.
With the base game polished enough, I got to work on a racing mode for the jam requirement. I added commands to turn up a speedrun timer and change between RNG mode and Set seed mode. Also, the best score for each category can be saved and viewed at any moment. You are now able to skip the intro if you only open the game for the speedrun.
Now the game will give you more process the faster you complete each segment, and will spawn segments faster based on performance. This changes are present also when speedrun mode is not enabled because it's overall a game design quality of life change.
Also, most bugs are already fixed.
Also, lawnmower.
