Firewall
A downloadable game
Firewall is a game about stopping hackers from messing with your computer while updating it in a funny, 90s hackers movie kind of style. It can be completed in between 5 and 15 minutes.
- 1.1 Version Released. The game now has a speedrun mode both with and without RNG, with optional saved high-scores and the option to skip the intro. You can view all changes by following the link here. I heavily advise you play through the game on normal mode first before turning on speedrun mode.
- 2.0 Version Released. The game has now a new minigame and a lot of bugfixes and QoL changes such as allowing you to move different windows.
- Spanish translated version.
All the art, programming and sound design was made by me with Aseprite, Game Maker Studio 2 and Audacity. All the sounds in the game are actually me screaming at my phone at 6 am. Enjoy them.
The whole game was made in a total of 12 hours for the Mystery Jam, organized by FundAV and Mishka Palacios.
Apparently the executable version of the game can be detected as suspicious by your antivirus, probably due to being named "firewall.exe". I'm dumb for picking that name without any second thoughts, but the game is totally not a virus. It's a dolphin.
